Jane slept for real. Full nights sleep she woke up to sounds coming from the kitchen. She knew it wasn’t her Ma talking to Maura since her girlfriend was still asleep on her shoulder. She gently moved out from under Maura and towards the kitchen. 

She saw her Mom talking to Angie who was eating a rizzoli breakfast  Her Ma met her eyes with a we need to talk. She swallowed and smiled as she walked out further. When Angie saw her she squeal loudly saying ‘Aunt Jane’  and run jumping at her. 
Jane caught her with her good arm but heard her Ma tell the girl that Jane’s shoulder had an owie and the little girl should be careful. She gave her Ma a look and smiled at Angie. “Ya should finish your breakfast.  My Ma don’t like little girls that don’t finish eggs.”  That got Angie to run back to her seat at the table. 

Jane sat down grabbing a plate that was made for her and thanked her Ma for the milk. She was sure pain meds where hidden in this meal somewhere but her shoulder hurt enough that she didn’t care.
